Derbigum began in Belgium as a family business in 1932. Derbigum has grown to become a well-respected global group specialized in roofing and waterproofing.
Every aspect of the production of our products is integrated in the energy calculation: from the production and transport of each raw material to the production process and the application on the roof and all the way back to the factory and the recycling process.

Every product produced by Derbigum has an ecological impact.
To put in practice what we preach;
- all the electricity required to produce the products in Belgium is energy only from renewable resource (wind and solar)
- Derbigum can proudly present an integrated system where production waste is entirely recycled into new raw material without quality loss.
- Derbigum has developed and patented a concept to recycle for 100 % to pure raw material.
Today, more than a quarter of the raw material is recycled bitumen, which is 4000 tons per year. The last 3 years, Derbigum has allocated 2.5 million euro to the recycling process in which cuttings and old roof waste is reused in the production process.
